Vanessa Morman holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism from Wayland Baptist University out of Plainview, Texas. She also has an Associates degree in Radio Television Film, from San Antonio College where she was also a disc jockey for KSYM College Radio stations early morning jazz rotation. Morman is the founder and Executive Director of the Houston Black Film Festival. She is also the owner of Sheba Media Group where shehas handled agent-ed work for celebs such as Angie Stone, the legendary Recording Artist and actress, filmmaker, producer, Arthur Muhammad,)Carter High,with Charles Dutton, Vivica Fox, David Banner, Pooch Hall, ‘First Impression’ with Lamman Rucker, Lisa Arrindell, Elise Neal, others, Filmmaker, screenwriter and Producer, Mark Harris, (Black Butterfly, My First Love, Black Coffee, Stock Option, 36Hr Layover), veteran actress Bernadette Stanis, (Thelma from Goodtimes) securing multiple appearances on TVOne and other networks as well as film endeavors. She worked as the Media Relations Consultant for the 2004 ALAYE Calendar Project,where she recruited a number of celebrities as Dale Godboldo Fox TV/Wanda At Large, Actor Comedian Pierre, (For the Love of Money, BAPS) and others to appear and showcase their abs. In addition, she handles marketing projects for her company, a Literary Entertainment Agency & PR Firm, Sheba Media Group. Vanessa has also authored several books including Ten Years Hard Labor”, published in 1997. An excerpt of Ten Years Hard Labor, subtitled Racism In the Military, was previously published in the Intrigue Magazine in 1994. Both are military espionage thrillers laced with steamy romance which were recently re-released. Her latest novels are On My Knees, a steamy church drama, which she was a featured author during the Essence Music Festival, in 2008. She also authored, Non Negotiable, Quiet Hostility, a romantic tale of corporate espionage set in Houston, TX and the recently completed Scent of a Man. Morman is also a decorated Air Force Veteran who currently lives in Houston, Texas.
